Introduction of digital touring apps and a photo printing machine
Miyakejima has been working on substantiating the initiative ideas discussed during FY 2018. On December 17, 2018, it conducted a meeting to consider what activities to conduct in the future. Since many birdwatchers are expected to visit between April and May, it was decided to make serious preparations to conduct actions on the visitors. Specifically, the implementation of digital touring apps and a photo printing machine will be done in phases, and a monitor tour to verify the initiatives using foreign visitors is being planned (end of February 2020)
A digital touring app in 12 languages will include tour guide functions and information that won't be displayed unless the place is actually visited. The aim is to attract tourists. The stamp program will also include unique stamps.
Using the digital app, visitors can upload their photos on social netowrking sites and print them using the printer, increasing the number of ways to have fun.
The printing machine that is going to be used. In the future, preparing photo books and unique frames will make the souvenirs unique to Miyakejima.
