Shipping out kabutsu Sharing Sets to Mikurashima fans

The Mikurashima Winter Sharing Project is an initiative that aims to create new connections with fans of the Mikurashima using kabutsu, the island's winter citrus fruit. It was conceived by members of Mikurashima's meeting. The members have been working together as a team to prepare for the project.

The project was announced over social media and other means, and the maximum number of 100 participants was reached within just 35 minutes of test user recruitment. About 80 percent of these participants were people who had visited the island before. These results reconfirmed Mikurashima's deep-rooted popularity and the high level of interest in the island. The service rate of ships, which affects logistics to and from Mikurashima, is much lower during the winter than during the summer due to the prevalence of strong winter winds around the island. After they finished recruiting project participants, all members worked together to pack and ship out the sets while checking weather maps. The shipments were completed without incident.

The Mikurashima Winter Sharing Sets are also linked to two other collaborative projects.
The first is a collaboration with BathHaus (Shibuya City, Tokyo), a public bathhouse with an adjoining bar where visitors can eat and drink. The project was held over two weekends. During this period, visitors could experience kabutsu-yu, a bath with kabutsu fruit floating in the water, and enjoy a marinade made from kabutsu peel and juice as well as three kinds of cocktails at the bar.

Sharing Sets were also distributed to visitors who took a bath or ate or drank at BathHaus. The target number of Sharing Sets and food/drink items distributed or served during the event period was reached. BathHaus was also pleased with the results: "Many customers enjoyed the event. I think people who had never heard of Mikurashima also became interested in the island."

The second is a collaborative project with the Tokyo Takarajima Shoten, a pop-up shop in BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku City, Tokyo). Sharing Sets were distributed to customers who purchased products at the first-floor sales area. In the questionnaire survey of users who received a Sharing Set, some users who had never visited Mikurashima before said that their interest in Mikurashima increased.

With this, members have successfully completed "delivery" of the Mikurashima Winter Sharing Sets. From now on, they are planning to collect the questionnaires from people who used the Sharing Sets. What kind of feedback will they receive? Among the island's members, there is a growing sense of excitement and anticipation for the results.
