Tokyo Treasure Islands branding briefing held

On February 18, 2020, a Tokyo Treasure Islands Branding Debriefing Session was held in Marunouchi, Tokyo, to showcase the initiative ideas that the 11 islands of Tokyo's came up with after holding discussions. Oshima reported on the monitor tour that incorporated experiences-oriented contents and interactions with islanders that substantiated the "repeat-worthy island" discussed in the FY 2018 island meetings. Many companies felt the appeal of the "repeat-worthy island" brand value. When opinions were exchanged, the companies proposed various things such as sending interns for fieldwork, developing human resource development programs, commodifying the experience-oriented items, and using the hot springs. In FY 2020, the plan is to consider further polishing the operating scheme of the experience-oriented contents and to go beyond the borders of tourism to expand the relevant population. The island will consider corporate training and educational operations as it looks for ways to make Oshima a "repeat-worthy island."
