Tokyo Treasure Islands branding briefing held

On February 18, 2020, a Tokyo Treasure Islands Branding Debriefing Session was held in Marunouchi, Tokyo, to showcase the initiative ideas that the 11 islands of Tokyo's came up with after holding discussions. Based on its branding concept of "An island with an abundance of water that'll make you realize ordinary miracles," Kozushima reported on initiatives with the executive branch with the purpose of certifying dark sky sanctuaries to preserve the view of the stars and on the monitor tours that included fishing village cultural experiences and fountain tours. They exchanged opinions with participating companies on how to deal with off-peak seasons and tourism products. In FY 2020, the island will move forward with various initiatives, such as creating media for inbound people to call in the foreign target persona and aim for high added value using golden eye snappers and agricultural products that are found naturally in the island.

After the monitor tour, the difficulty of doing tours with just the participants became apparent. In the discussion with a company that created a tourist site for the inbound population, the challenges for FY 2020 initiatives were organized one by one.
