Preparing a monitor tour for realize the initiative ideas that go over the various appeals of the island discussed

Hachijojima has been preparing for monitor tours that aim to realize the initiative ideas that go over the various appeals of the island discussed in the FY 2018 island meetings. The people were very motivated; Cooperating stores were selected, tours for the store staff were implemented, and photo books of the Hachijojima trip to place in the store and invite people to the island were created. A tour to go around the appealing spots in the island was planned as cooperation with dining facilities was being discussed. Then, a search was put on for tour monitors that matched with the target persona, which was decided as "an artistic or creative woman in her 30's who feels tired of living in the urban areas but feels inspiration and energy from interacting with people or nature."

As part of cooperating with off-island stores, a photobook that illustrates the various appeals of Hachijojima was created. The tour schedule and photobook were shown to the visitors to increase expectation of visitation.

A caprese salad using mozzarella cheese produced in Hachijojima. The chef's innovative preferences can be felt in his other dishes as well.

The conversation with the chef at cooperating stores is also interesting. Getting passionate when talking about the ingredients or cooking method might just be a part of his personality.
